Octomore 2014 Islay Barley 11.3, 5 Year Old. 11.3 Islay Barley is a five-year-old single malt made with barley grown on Octomore farm on Islay. Grown close to the Atlantic Ocean, this barley offers a unique terroir and soft, salty notes reminiscent of a sea breeze on a sunny day. Matured in ex-American whiskey casks from Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Heaven Hill and Buffalo Trace for five years, it offers notes of orange blossom, apricot jam, summer flowers, dry smoke and smouldering heather throughout the palate.
